st. joseph's basilica edmonton

Megan and Jordan were married on a gorgeous day, when the last of the spring cherry blossoms were floating through the air here in Edmonton. They exchanged vows in the breathtaking confines of St. Joseph's Basilica, then we explored some of the city's most picturesque locations for their portraits. They were kind enough to allocate three hours (!!!) for portraits, which was a photographer's dream! It was wonderful to explore at a relaxed pace, taking photos at several locations throughout the city while allowing time for laughter and lots of champagne breaks for the bride and groom and their best friends.

Afterwards, we all headed to Leefield Community Hall for their beautiful, love-filled reception. The majority of Megan and Jordan's family had travelled to attend their wedding, so the mood was festive and ebullient at this "destination" affair. After sneaking outside for some sunset photos, the happy couple joined their loved ones on the already hopping dance floor and swayed along to the sweet sounds of local band Uptown 780.

Megan and Jordan, I wish you all the happiness in the world. You are such wonderful people and it's clear you will make each other deeply joyful. Take care of each other and keep having lots of fun and adventure. Thank you so much for choosing me to document your amazing day!
