Stephanie and Garrett got married in a ghost town! I mean, can you imagine a cooler location? Rowley, Alberta is a “hamlet populated by nine humans and 15 cats [that] stays alive by partying” according to The Star. Oh, and there was one hell of a party on this day! Probably the wildest one I’ve photographed. It was a pleasure from start to finish. I will let the images show you all the beauty, love and fun of Steph and Garrett’s amazing day in the badlands of Alberta.

We kicked off the photography fun with a first look and wedding party portraits at the Drumheller Amphitheatre. It was spectacular.

After finishing our portraits, we all travelled north to Rowley, where the fun really began!

The party kicked off with a ceremony in the original United Church, followed by cocktail hour at the town’s saloon, dinner under a big white tent, and dancing under the stars.

Steph and Garrett, I adore you guys! Wishing you all the happiness in the world!

I had an absolute blast collaborating with a group of Edmonton-based creatives to create some bridal inspiration for this spring. Here's the second of four looks we shot, a geometric, tropical look featuring a two piece gown, a showstopper bouquet of white orchids and monstera leaves, and awesome brass himmelis crafted by Salvage + Bronze. Special thanks to our wonderful model, Kataryna of Numa Models. P.s. You can see our first collaboration, dreamy vintage bridal inspiration here.

I had so much fun teaming up with a group of Edmonton-based creatives to create some bridal inspiration for this spring. Here's the first of four looks we shot, a clean and cozy vintage look featuring a pastel blue lace 50s gown, a romantic bouquet of roses and dusty miller, nude peep-toe shoes, and a simple but lovely hair and makeup look. Special thanks to our wonderful model, Hazuki of Numa Models.

Laura & Matt just wanted to have fun on their wedding day. That seems reasonable, right? Well, sometimes the more elaborate and hyper-planned and uber-styled a wedding becomes, the more effort is required from the couple on the day itself... which can lead to less time just enjoying the experience of getting married. For this reason, Matt and Laura opted to keep things as simple as possible.

They got ready at their own home, and shared their first look in their living room. We did their family portraits in their front yard, and their portraits together (and with their darling "dog of honour," Pippa, at home and around their own neighbourhood.

They decided to tie the knot at one of Edmonton's most quaint, cozy and truly lovely cafés, Little Brick. Their guests gathered on the sunny patio outside the historic home and witnessed their exchange of personalized vows. Afterwards, the happy couple joined their guests for dinner and drinks, and an evening of true merriment and relaxation with their nearest and dearest. It was like the very best type of party, with all the fun and no stuffiness or stress.

Laura and Matt, thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your wonderful nuptials. It was an honour and a joy and I am so happy for you both!
