Exploring Edmonton is a series in which I share adventures and discoveries in my new home in Alberta's capital city.

I don't recall how I first discovered Maven & Grace, but if I were to hazard a guess, I would think Instagram might be responsible for leading me to this shop. Maven & Grace is situated on Whyte (82nd) Avenue in Edmonton, just east of the busiest part of the city, and just a hair west of Mill Creek ravine. It opened in fall 2015 and has been offering carefully curated vintage goods and a selection of new home and gift items ever since. I always enjoy stopping in to see what's new, and am always delighted by the ever evolving selection of merchandise. In the fall, we purchased a chair which adds a lot of charm to our living room and during my visit to the shop for this post, I couldn't resist leaving without a beautiful vintage necklace. Let me show you around!

The shop, which is owned by the same creative minds behind Mill Creek Picture Framing (just a few doors down), is situated on a quieter block of Whyte Avenue, near the corner of 96th Street NW.

Maven & Grace offers a selection of paper goods in addition to their vintage wares.

They also sell jewellery (such as the necklace that I purchased, below) and treats like Compartés Chocolate.

The shop is skillfully managed by Leslie Fenton, who was kind enough to show me around.

If you're in Edmonton, be sure to follow Maven & Grace on Instagram to scope out their latest treasures, and more importantly, stop by the shop!
