They were married in between thunderstorms. On the morning of their wedding, it rained cats and dogs. In the evening, once their guests were tucked into the cozy confines of the party, the sky lit up again with an hours-long lightning spectacle. But in between the bouts of extreme weather, the sun came out and shone upon their union. Amy and Derek, two people who are strong in every sense of the word, joined their lives in the middle of a vineyard in the late summer heat.
When my longtime friend Amy found Derek, I immediately saw that this was her partner for life. They push each other to pursue their highest dreams and ambitions, and remind each other to take breaks and have fun despite their intense careers. I'm so happy my feisty, headstrong, loving, sassy and kind-hearted friend with the one-in-a-million personality has found her match in a man that is calm, thoughtful, and funny as hell. It was such a pleasure to see two lovely people and their loved ones come together and celebrate as one big family.
Amy and Derek, thank you for having me as your photographer. I am so happy for you guys and it was amazing for both me and Brian to get to share in all the excitement while documenting your day. Wishing you all the happiness in the world!
Their ceremony was in the middle of a vineyard at Cave Spring Cellars. It was breathtaking.
During the party, we snuck away for a few moments for portraits in the wine cellar.
