cambium farms wedding | lesley & graeme

I remember first hearing about their love on a warm summer evening. Lesley and I were sipping on chilled white wine on a dock in cottage country at our mutual friend Rozlyn's bachelorette party. As we watched the sunset, I asked her about the new man in her life. With a dazzling smile, she told me how meeting Graeme had been transformative. Spending time with him felt different and better than anything before. She was relaxed, mellow, herself.  Since getting together, they'd been virtually inseparable and she'd never been happier. I remember thinking, this sounds like a very real deal.

Almost exactly three years later, it was my great honour to photograph their wedding day.

Lesley and Graeme were married at Cambium Estates in Caledon, Ontario. As you will soon see, their wedding day was breathtakingly styled and meticulously coordinated by both the venue and Jennifer and Jenna of The Event Room. Despite having about 80 guests in attendance, the day felt intimate and romantic in a rare and special way. I believe the couple's personalities always set the tone for each wedding, so it made sense that Lesley and Graeme's kind and gracious hearts would create such a warm atmosphere. Their shared joy just radiated throughout the festivities, and was most apparent during their first dance to a dreamy acoustic cover of  I'm Gonna Be (500 miles) by Sleeping at Last. In fact, if you click on the link and give it a listen, it's a pretty ideal soundtrack for viewing these photos, though a few tears may spring involuntarily to your eyes!

Graeme and Lesley, thank you for inviting us to be there with you on your wedding day. It was a true joy to document your love, as well as all of the exquisitely beautiful details your day. I'm honestly still in awe of how much work you put into crafting your wedding décor, and how much fun it was to photograph it all (as you will see from the number of images below — I couldn't help myself!) Brian and I are both looking forward to spending time with you both in the near future. Enjoy every moment of married life!

Our sweet friend Rozlyn made Lesley this amazing box of Harry Potter trivia questions to distract her when she felt like she might cry and mess up her makeup. How brilliant!

Lesley and Graeme generously gave us a few minutes in which we snuck out of their reception for portraits at dusk (my favourite).

I'll close with their beautiful first dance:
