last three weeks in pictures | july 21-august 10, 2014

Hi guys! I'm just popping in to say hello. The past few weeks have been a whirlwind, a heatwave, a flurry of activity— basically all kinds of crazy.

Here's a little bit about what's new:

Brian and I lucked in to finding an apartment in Toronto much earlier than expected. We'd been hoping to move into a new place in September or maybe even October, but when I spotted something that looked special, we went to see it right away. Thankfully the landlord liked us and told us if we wanted the place, "welcome to the neighbourhood!" After a little paperwork, we suddenly had a place to live, but very little free time in which to pull off the move. With some help from family, we managed it, and although we're still living in a sea of boxes and half-painted rooms, I couldn't be happier. This was our eighth move in 19 months, so believe me when I tell you I am extremely grateful to be settling in to a place and to finally get our stuff out of our damn storage locker. Bliss!

We were also planning to live apart for the fall as Brian was moving out west to accept a job opportunity. Due to a variety of circumstances, he decided not to go, and this news was very, very welcome. I feel incredibly grateful that we get to live together, to build a home together in the city.

In between unpacking boxes and grocery shopping, I've been shooting and editing, and loving the experience of working with such fantastic clients and creative collaborators all summer. I'm really happy to be settled, and to have a home base from which I can go on adventures.

Over the long weekend, I went up to visit my family on the Bruce Peninsula and the time spent there was everything I needed and more.

This past weekend, I slept in and went to the Toronto Flower Market to pick up some greenery for the new place, then had brunch with my friend Skye (the beauty below). I also unpacked and edited and went to Sunday morning shoot in Riverdale and drank a few beers with my friend Christina. I also watched the long-awaited Outlander premiere. It's beautifully shot and seems pretty promising.

I'm off to get back to getting my life in order, but here are a few additional memories from Instagram over the past three weeks.
