This week provided the first real taste of spring in 2014, which was nothing short of glorious. I excitedly added some real outdoor runs into my fitness mix, puddle jumping with glee. Our neighbourhood is full of runners, so it was extra energizing to see so many others out enjoying the relatively warm weather and bright blue colours of late winter. The ice is slowly starting to recede and the birds are reappearing. I just love this time of year.
And a few more shots from Instagram: a preview of my friends Rozlyn and Kris's wedding album that just arrived this week, a lovely thank-you card from one of my favourite weddings last summer, and a first glimpse of spring.
Over the weekend, Brian and I drove out to New Glarus, "America's Little Switzerland," a small town just southwest of Madison. We visited the brewery for a tour and a taste of some favourite local beers and stopped for a Swiss-American lunch at Glarner Stube.
This weekend was pretty significant for us, as we took a lot of time to talk and dream about the future, and what's on the horizon. Our time in Madison will be wrapping up in just over two months (!) and it's very exciting to lay the foundation for what's next. I'll be sharing more details as plans take shape, but for now, we're looking forward to some upcoming travel and very excited to be returning to Canada this spring.
