This was the part of our trip that I wish we could have extended. It was far too brief. My maternal grandparents live just outside of Atlanta, and really this whole trip was organized around visiting them, so it was awesome to finally arrive at their place.
My parents made the trip too, which was amazing, so we got to spend a few days hanging out as a family, though sadly neither of my brothers could make it. We spent a few days together, just enjoying each other's company and savouring my Grammy's incredible cooking.
One thing we did make time for was a visit to the Georgia Aquarium, which is always spectacular.
We also went for a drive with my parents through historic Madison, Georgia, which has always been one of my favourite places to visit. But my favourite part of this part of the trip was spending time with my grandparents, who I don't get to see nearly often enough.
Then it was on to our final stop: Nashville
