montreal family portraits | adriana's family

People like Adriana and her family are the reason I'm a portrait photographer. Working with kind, energetic, creative, fun-loving people such as them fills my heart with goodness and elevates my love for photography with each successive shoot.

When I walked into Adriana and her husband Brian's lovely home, I was met by seven smiling adult faces, two adorable babies, and nine beautifully colour-coordinated outfits. The house was decorated for the holiday season, and everyone was ready to have a great time.

We'd originally planned to do these photos during the fall at an apple orchard, but were forced to reschedule due to torrential rain. I think the change of location was actually a great thing, as it allowed us to share the extremely fun experience of creating Christmas photos of the whole family. When things don't go as planned, I often find the back-up plan turns out first-rate. The extra time before the shoot gave Adriana the chance to dream up a Christmas photo booth (complete with props) and for the whole family to find their great outfits.

Adriana and family, thank you so much for inviting me to photograph your love for each other, your adorable children, and the moments in between the poses. Those are often the most special. On that note, let's start off with one of my favourite photos, which is certainly not formally posed, but definitely reflective of this amazing family.

Aren't Everett and Frankie the cutest babies?

Thank you guys so, so much for a very fun experience, and merry christmas!
