Stephanie and Garrett got married in a ghost town! I mean, can you imagine a cooler location? Rowley, Alberta is a “hamlet populated by nine humans and 15 cats [that] stays alive by partying” according to The Star. Oh, and there was one hell of a party on this day! Probably the wildest one I’ve photographed. It was a pleasure from start to finish. I will let the images show you all the beauty, love and fun of Steph and Garrett’s amazing day in the badlands of Alberta.

We kicked off the photography fun with a first look and wedding party portraits at the Drumheller Amphitheatre. It was spectacular.

After finishing our portraits, we all travelled north to Rowley, where the fun really began!

The party kicked off with a ceremony in the original United Church, followed by cocktail hour at the town’s saloon, dinner under a big white tent, and dancing under the stars.

Steph and Garrett, I adore you guys! Wishing you all the happiness in the world!

I had an absolute blast collaborating with a group of Edmonton-based creatives to create some bridal inspiration for this spring. Here's the second of four looks we shot, a geometric, tropical look featuring a two piece gown, a showstopper bouquet of white orchids and monstera leaves, and awesome brass himmelis crafted by Salvage + Bronze. Special thanks to our wonderful model, Kataryna of Numa Models. P.s. You can see our first collaboration, dreamy vintage bridal inspiration here.

It might have been a gamble to marry in the mountains in late autumn, but mother nature smiled on Andrea and Kelly's nuptials and blessed them with the last spectacularly beautiful day of the year. Early sun was shining on their morning ceremony while mist still blanketed the valley below. It was a glorious day to tie the knot.

In this beautiful setting, at the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis, Andrea and Kelly hosted family and friends for their daytime wedding that kicked off with a morning ceremony, followed by a fabulous brunch and reception. Due to the relaxed style of their day, they were able to spend quality time with guests from near and far during the formal portion of their day, venture outside in the afternoon light for portraits, take a short rest, and then rejoin their loved ones for an unofficial hangout that evening. Can you imagine a more laid-back way to celebrate your wedding day?

Andrea and Kelly, thank you so much for inviting me to document your day. It was a joy and a pleasure, and I'm so thrilled you found each other. I know you will be deeply happy together, always :) Andrea, thank you also for the exquisite handmade quilt you gave me for my baby on your own wedding day. I still get teary eyed every time I look at it, touched by your kindness and talent. Kelly, you know this already, but you've found a truly remarkable partner. I've admired Andrea since the first day I met her at McGill University eight years ago, and quickly thought of her as a mentor. She is a natural born leader, a kind soul, and a woman who gets things done. The two of you make an amazing team and lead a life full of adventure and laughter. I wish you all the very best!
