Lobster! Fireworks! A band! Oysters! Flowers! Wine! Gardens! An old barn! Pie! A stunning view!

That very list arrived, printed on a vintage postcard-inspired invitation to Terra and Andrew's wedding. Every item on the list is great individually, but put them together as a group and you've got a legendary event in the making. Basically, when an invitation with a list like that appears in your mailbox, you will make your way to that party come hell or high water.

Over Labour Day weekend, guests flew in from across North America and beyond, and drove in from the nearby farms and towns. The group congregated at the place where Terra grew up, her family's farm in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia.

Andrew and Terra planned their wedding long-distance, from their current home in Los Angeles, but not without significant help from family and friends. I imagine it was a Herculean effort to transform a working farm into the site of a fabulous soirée, though I am certain these efforts did not go unnoticed by the excited attendees, including myself. We all marvelled at the gardens and fawned over the spectacular ceremony site, set up on a hill overlooking the Gaspereau River and the Minas Basin of the Bay of Fundy, home to the world's highest tides.

It was my absolute honour to photograph all the magic of this day as it unfolded. It was a joy to document the fun, and to be so filled with happiness for my two friends as they tied the knot. As an added bonus, I had a blast dancing until the end of the night with the bride and groom and our mutual friends, as well as the many new fantastic people I feel lucky to have met throughout the wedding festivities.

Terra and Andrew, I wish you guys so much love and adventure. You are a perfect match and I couldn't be happier for you two. Thank you for inviting me to photograph your day. I will never forget the experience! Or the oysters, fireworks, pie, etc.
